The mountains of Yeongdong extended from the Baekdu Mountain Range appear powerful yet also look beautiful together with the Geum River.

Trekkers often dream of climbing to the peak of Minjuji Mountain, which is situated in the southeast area of Yeongdong with well-preserved primitive natural environment. Also, Cheontae Mountain containing the old ginkgo trees and the thousand-year-old temple Yeongguk-sa is situated on the west together with Geum Mountain.

The beauty of valleys is undoubtedly the abundant water that produces a cool, refreshing sound in summer and the colorful autumn foliage that can be seen in fall. However, in Yeongdong, there are special valleys that welcome visitors around the year as they offer beautiful scenery all year-round.
